Friends of Henderson County Wildlife (FOHCWL) is committed to conservation by actively preserving and enhancing Henderson County’s exceptional natural resources. Our projects are a collaborative effort to establish a healthier habitat and a stronger conservation legacy for the community
Volunteer members and student ambassadors are at the heart of Friends of Henderson County Wildlife, driving these efforts. Each project reflects our commitment to stewardship, sustainability, and preserving outdoorsmen heritage. Our goal is to establish a healthier habitat and a stronger conservation legacy for Henderson County.
FOHCWL proudly collaborates with local state parks and private landowners to execute impactful conservation projects. These partnerships are essential for restoring habitats, improving biodiversity, and engaging the community in meaningful stewardship efforts. By working together, we ensure that both public and private lands contribute to a healthier ecosystem and a stronger outdoorsmen legacy.
Henderson County is fortunate to be home to over 6,000 acres of public conservation land and nearly 200,000 acres of private farmland nestled along the Mississippi River. This landscape provides both ecological significance and recreational opportunities for residents and visitors alike, which we celebrate and educate our community about.
Are you a landowner, teacher, or outdoorsmen enthusiast aware of a partnership or project opportunity? Let us know!
