Edwards Seins

Carman, IL, resident, and longtime community supporter Mr. Edwards Seins passed away on March 6, 2021. Ed was a lifelong farmer in Henderson County and worked at Champion for thirty years. In addition to loving and supporting his family he lived a life of service. This is evident by his never-ending support of the Southern School District and as a volunteer and member of many local organizations including the Carman United Methodist Church, Carman Township Trustee, Board of Western Illinois Area Agency, & Henderson County Health Department. Friends of Henderson County Wildlife was humbled and grateful to be named as a recipient of Ed’s Memorial. 

Keith Gibbs

Stronghurst, IL, resident and longtime Community supporter Mr. Keith Gibbs passed away on May 31, 2021. Keith was a lifelong educator in the former Southern School district where he served as a teacher and principal. He devoted his entire adult life to educating children and his former students can fondly recall the science experiments and natural sciences he was gifted at teaching. Many local outdoorsmen knew Keith was the guy to talk to when you wanted to know what the primetime for mushrooms would be each Spring. Keith was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Friends of Henderson County Wildlife was humbled and grateful to be named as a recipient of Keith’s Memorial. 

Jim Tripp

Niota, IL, native and longtime outdoorsman Jim Tripp passed away on March 2, 2022. Jim was a 1989 graduate of Dallas City High School and Southeastern Community College. He served as a correctional officer at the Iowa State Penitentiary in Fort Madison. Jim loved hunting, fishing, golfing, farming, baseball, but most of all, he cherished time with family and friends. He absolutely treasured everything the Mississippi River Valley had to offer, along with the Outdoorsmen Heritage and friendships that came with it. Friends of Henderson County Wildlife was humbled and grateful to be named as a recipient of Jim’s Memorial.
