We strongly encourage all Illinois residents born on or after January 1, 1980, to obtain a valid Hunter Education Certificate of Competency. This certificate is issued by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (ILDNR), Safety Education Division.
How to Enroll: One of the most common inquiries FOHCWL receives is about attending an IL Hunter Education Safety Course & Field Day.
The ILDNR relies on trained volunteers to lead these courses. We are proud to report that several FOHCWL members are certified instructors.
